FicuLei 08 wooden doll - lace

Handcrafted with love, this anthropomorphic figure of prickly pear cactus-pad is made by wood and meticulously hand-painted. This sculpture represents a woman wearing a black lace dress (scialle), inspired by old Sicilian women's wear.
I love this semi-veiled look because speaks of sicilian heritage and brings elegance and femininity to this figure. I draw the "scialle" in two versions:
- on one shoulder
- crossing lace
You can choose your favorite look.

Small wood knots and slight imperfections of painting may occur. I believe it makes each figure unique in it’s own way.
